Year 6 and Foundation 'softie' project
Foundation and Year 6 have been working together on a DT project. The foundation children designed their own 'softie' toy which the Year 6s then went away and made. The plan was carefully drawn, with lots of notes made about the requests from the Foundation children. The Year 6s then drew out a pattern, carefully cut this out, sewed the different body parts together, stuffed the softie and then added all the tiny details. The Foundation children were so excited when they got handed over and the Year 6s were rightfully very proud of themselves. A great example of DT for a purpose!
